This cute Wood Thrush is soft and fuzzy -- and it sings! In fact, this bird has the prettiest sound of any bird in the entire collection! Beautiful flute-like songs signal the arrival of spring and the Wood Thrush. Found during the summer throughout the eastern United States, this thrush species inhabits forests and park areas. Insects, fruits and berries make up their diets. Wood Thrushes nest in trees and are on the Audubon WatchList program because they are currently declining in numbers due to cowbird parasitism and habitat loss.
The lifelike design and detailing is the result of input from the National Audubon Society. The authentic bird song is from the Cornell Lab of Ornithology.
